MY PRINT DESIGN PROCESS

A Clear & Practical Approach

From the initial brief through to print-ready artwork, I keep the process clear, collaborative and focused on creating print design that looks professional and works exactly as it should.

01

Brief & Purpose

We start by discussing what you need, who it is for, and how the final piece will be used, so the design has a clear purpose from the outset.

02

Content & Layout

I organise the content and plan the layout carefully, making sure the design feels clear, balanced and easy to follow.

03

Design & Refinement

I create the design in line with your branding and goals, refining the layout, typography and visual details until everything feels right.

04

Print-Ready Artwork

Once approved, I prepare the final artwork with the correct size, bleed and file setup, ready for professional printing.

05

Support if Needed

If needed, I can also help with print specifications, liaising with a printer, or preparing alternate versions for digital use.

Throughout the process, I’ll keep things clear and practical, making sure the final artwork is carefully prepared and ready to use with confidence.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Print Design FAQs

Yes. I can create print-ready artwork with the correct size, bleed, margins and file setup required for professional printing. Where possible, I’ll also check any printer specifications before preparing the final files.

Yes. I can work with your existing logo, colours, fonts and brand style to create printed materials that feel consistent with the rest of your business. If your existing branding needs tidying or adapting for print, I can advise on that too.

I can help with a range of printed materials, including business cards, flyers, leaflets, posters, brochures, catalogues, stationery, packaging labels and promotional materials. Each design is created to suit the purpose, audience and format of the project.

I mainly provide the design and print-ready artwork, but I can also help liaise with a printer if needed. Printing costs are usually quoted separately, as prices depend on quantity, paper stock, finish and delivery requirements.

You will usually receive a print-ready PDF suitable for professional printing, along with any agreed digital versions for proofing or online use. Source files are not normally included unless agreed as part of the project.

Timescales depend on the size and complexity of the project. A simple flyer or business card may only take a few days, while a brochure, catalogue or multi-page document will take longer. I’ll give you a realistic timeframe before the project begins.
